As of December 29, 2006 the DYS has about a dozen active members. All but one of our charter members were transferred out town for job related reasons. Jim Boudreaux remains as the only original charter member.
On December 16, 2006 Steve Broaddus was elected President of the DYS by the club. Past President Jim Boudreaux will now serve as Treasurer and Webmaster. The club looks forward to Steve's leadership in the coming year, as well as his hospitality!
Additionally, a new position was created: Yeastmeister! Gene Nelson has a professional level yeast lab at his house, and he will be banking yeast for the club. A new section of the web site is now in place for news on this endeavor.
