New board position - Event Coordinator

The idea of a creating an event coordinator and team was brought up at the June meeting. We are taking nominations and will vote on it during the July meeting. Some suggested duties for the Event Coordinator:
• Form a coordinating group (willing group of DYS members).
• Plan and coordinate events with coordinating group (e.g., brew days, Christmas Party, pub crawl, etc). Excluding competition.
• Delegate / manage responsibilities of members for events.
• Budgeting events and pulling from DYS resources.
• DYS contact person for additional events or ideas.
• Should have access to contacts to willing individuals and coordinating group.
• Coordinate advertisement material (e.g., sign at Marcello’s, cards, etc.).

Several of us think this position will help organize club events a little more and possible create additional club events. Please let us know if anyone has some additional duties or ideas to ease this position.

I volunteer to be part of or help the coordinating group.

I would like for everyone to consider this position in the club and figure out what active members should be nominated and voted into this position. We will be voting at next weeks meeting. Thanks....Cheers!
