National Homebrew Day

Postby aleguy » Wed Apr 23, 2008 3:42 pm

Are we doing anything for national homebrew day this year? I know everyone probably has their hands full with Gulf Brew coming up, but I talked to Kevin yesterday and he wants to do a brew at Marcelo's for NHD. Is anyone interested?

I think its on May 7th which is in the middle of the week.
So would that be the weekend before or after?

Nope, its officially the first Saturday in May of every year, so in this case, its on May 3rd. I won't be able to brew that day, but I may be able to show up for a few minutes between my daughters soccer finals that weekend, Games are at 11:20 a.m., and 5:30 p.m on Saturday.

I can bring some basic equipment. I haven't talked to Kevin yet, but we are still going to need a few things. If nobody else is interested I guess I'll just forget about it.

I talked to Kevin last night, and it seems there isn't really enough time to do the kind of publicity they like to do. We left it kind of late. Too late. I don't think our club falls under AHA auspices anyway. I could be wrong, but I think homebrew day is kind of their thing.

We are a sanctioned home brew club, the only reason we are not doing anything this weekend is most of us have made previous plans, now if anyone would like to step up and go for it you have my blessing
