Examples of Keg sizes....

Postby yeastmeister » Sun Jan 11, 2009 10:41 am

Ok, just sort of an FYI. These are the keg sizes I can confirm that are out in the wild from having actually seen them.

1g, 2g, 2.5g, 3g, 5g, 10g

Here is a pic of most. The ones shown are 1,2, 3, 5, 10. I didn't have access to the 2.5g, but Igor has one, so I know they are there.

There is (or was) a 5-gallon keg on ebay that looks as if it were made by cutting down a 10-gallon keg along the lines of your 3-gallon kegs. check it out. BTW, I have also seen a 15-gallon Corney keg. so there are some of those floating around as well.

...AND there were 1bbl (31gal) Soda Transfer Tanks too....
The short wide tanks referred to were used for the chemical, pharmacuetical, etc. industries.
