Hi all, just wanted to toot my own horn for a minute. I entered 3 beers and 1 mead in the 10th annual Palmetto State Brewer's Open competition in South Carolina. It is the next to last qualifying event for the MCAB this year. My mead, which was a pyment, won 1st place in the Melomel 25B category and Best of Show in Mead and Cider. I won an Honorable Mention for my Weizenbock and my American Barleywine won 1st place in the Strong Ale category and a 3rd place Best of Show for beer. I don't get to enter my Tupelo-Viognier Pyment in the MCAB because it's not one of the categories, but I do get to enter the American Barleywine. I'm pretty happy about the results and hopefully represented the club well. Cheers.
