Are we tasting the submissions for gulf brew at the next meeting? or can we do it closer to the actual day of the event? One of the beers I though was ready turned out not to have conditioned properly and I had to pitch some fresh yeast. I'm hoping this will solve the problem, but the more time I have to sort it out the better. I may have to repitch all of them.

I was thinking closer to the actual event. Beer can change quite a bit in 2 weeks. How does everyone feel about the 15th? That gives us some time to adjust carbonation up or down if needed.

We would like to get as much participation on the tasting...always helps to have a variety of palates.

That works better for me also. My work schedule has changed and I won't get home until July 11th.

shouldn't someone put the date (and time ) of the tasting on the events calendar for those members who don't read the forum regularly? Also would like to know if and when we're going to hammer out some kind of schedule for serving at the booth. I don't mind serving for two total hours, but it would be better for me if we could break it up into shorter time segments, seeing that I'm a smoker with a small bladder and all that.

Ok, up on the calendar.

The event runs from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Thats 5 hours. If the booths are typical of last year, there will be enough space to fit 2 servers side by side comfortably. You wont be bored, and time goes fast

Let me know if your volunteering to serve, and what hours you can make it, and how long you think a shift should last. I'll try and work up a schedule, and we can discuss it at the next meeting.
