You know you've got a helluva brew when...

Your primary fermentor blows up despite using a 1/2" diameter blowoff hose. At least the hose just popped off without any glass shattering. It was "great" waking up this morning to a volcano of Imperial Stout and wort blown all over the guest bathroom including the ceiling.

This is a 1.1 OG Imperial Stout using White Labs Irish Ale yeast, a true monster. If it doesn't make it below 1.030 I'll add some champagne yeast.

 I had the same thing happen once in my downstairs bathroom. Sprayed a very sticky oatmeal stout in a very fine mist 360 degrees around. Still can't figure out how it managed to cover every wall/floor and ceiling while coming out of the top of the carboy, but it must have been an impressive sight. Lucky for me, everything cleaned up relatively easily, and the brew turned out great!
