The board has authorized $35 toward a new library book this year. Once again I am submitting the title "Designing Great Beers" for acquisition. Please post other suggestions here. Once all the suggestions have been made we will have a poll to determine which title holds the greatest interest to the largest number of members. I will keep the suggestions open until National Home Brew Day and the poll will then run until Gulf Brew.

I'll second it. That's a great book, and though I already own it, the club needs a copy for others that don't.

If no one proposes any other books by May 1 I guess we're going to dispense with the poll and buy this book.

Alright. Designing Great Beers it is, then. Anyone who is willing to add this to their order from a home brew supply place will be reimbursed by the club. Just PM me first to make sure someone else hasn't already done so.

I want to donate this CD to the library. For those wanting to research old styles of beer, beers that are no longer being brewed, or just old methods of brewing, etc. There are 21 old books on the disk, each page of each book has been scanned. It might be best to make a copy for lending out and keep the original in the library.

FINALLY! Someone ordered our new library book for us. this post will go away when we receive the hard copy. Thanks Guitarlord's friend. I don't think I caught your name. I was drinking a bit at Gulf Brew and was barely functional for most of it, though I was sober by the time we got everything cleaned up.

That was my brother, Bart. One of us will drop you a line when the book gets here. Also, I dug out my copy of Dave Miller's Homebrewing Guide to donate to the club library. It should be a great resource for some of the new brewers that'll be joining the club as a result of Gulf Brew. I was originally going to donate Brew Like a Monk, but the binding on that book is so bad, I'd hate to pawn that trouble on our club librarian. DM's HG is in much better condition.

Our president OKed the membership in trade for the book, so get Bart's form in ASAP. Meeting Tuesday if you're in-country.
