I'm making my first competition entry as a Dead Yeaster tomorrow to the Upper Mississippi Mash-out. This is an Imperial Stout that won Best of Show in a Basin Brewers (west Texas) contest with a low 40s average. It's about 3/4 years old in the bottle. I have a couple bottles left and will bring one to the next meeting.

It is called Darkness Lite becase the original Darkness was a 1.030 FG and this one was a wussy 1.018.

Nice to see others interested in competitions. Some of us have been known to get together and ship things together to save on the shipping. I know its short notice, but keep us in mind if you enter comps periodically. I've personally got to make my Belgian Wit for the MCAB in about a week and Mob Barley needs to enter his Barley Wine. I think I see your qualified in Bitters in that comp. We can get together and save some shipping when February comes around.

Sounds good for MCAB shipping. My ESB is ready, I used the same recipe, procedure, and got the same OG and FG as the winning ESB but this one doesn't taste as good for some reason. I guess I'll give it a shot anyway.
