Cheap Hops

Postby GuitarLord5000 » Mon Sep 28, 2009 11:17 pm

Don't know if anyone's been checking, but hopsdirect has some really cheap hops right now. 1 lb. of willamette pellets for $6.75. Lots of hops for under $10 a pound. Plenty more for between $10 and $15.

Cheers,
Dave

Yeah, I now have 11 lbs of hops in the freezer thanks to this sale. Guess I need to brew a quintuple IPA now...

Yep, don't know how they are so low there and not elsewhere, but I was running low on a few things as well. Not anymore. :)

11 pounds seems about right for a ten-gallon batch of IPA, if you aren't much of a hophead. Otherwise, crank it up. We can send you the recipe I formulated for "the ugly American" IPA. I seem to recall it measured out at a mere 240 IBU.
