Kentucky Common Beer?

Postby aleguy » Wed May 13, 2009 7:24 pm

Does anyone know anything about a beer style called Kentucky Common? From what I gather it is supposed to be an American indigenous sour beer. Apparently it is somehow derived from the sour mash whiskeys of Kentucky.

Okay, I found this recipe:
http://www.ipass.net/mpdixon/Homebrew/K ... Common.htm
And Nate Diggler from the BN sent me these!

All of which I had seen and not found particularly useful, but he also sent me his recipe.

We'll all find out Thursday Night. I haven't tasted it since I kegged it up.

Are you bringing the keg of KC, or just a bottle or two? I'd like to taste it, maybe do some research on the style, etc.
