Blow off tubes

What size hose do you guys use for blow off tubes? My green Monster Double Ipa has been blowing the air lock off about every 2 hours since Mondy just like Trip saided

1/2 inch tubing fits over the large opening on the orange carboy cap just fine.

I prefer to use a larger tube so it's highly unlikely to clog...
I think it's 1.25", but I'm not 100% positive on that - fits right into the opening on carboys. In fact, I've got some extra

If it's fermenting that vigorously, you could probably just leave it open. I wouldn't but it is an option.

I'd go with 1/2" tubing also. If that isn't big enough - go to Lowes and get a 1" hose that will fit snugly in the opening of your carboy. It works great for high octane green bombers - like you brewed this weekend. :shock:
