New To Brewing

Postby BrokeDickBrew » Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:12 am

just found your site and bottled my second batch of beer 2 days ago. I didnt realize home brew was as popular here in the south as it is in Oregon where I'm from. I moved here 2 years ago and love the area.

The beer I just bottled is a Christmas Ale. I work Off Shore so I couldent tend to my fermenter, so it sat in the secondary for over 6 weeks, I hope this wont hurt the flavor

Welcome to the site!

Honestly, I don't know if that will hurt or not. Longest I usually try and let it sit is 4 weeks. Its probably going to be ok, but I'd say thats pushing the limit.

We have a meeting coming up this Saturday. Drop on in if you can make it.
