Club Business
At the June meeting, we introduced the idea of creating an Event Coordinator position in the club and would be a board member position. Chris Richard (Brewmeis) was nominated and elected at the July meeting. His duties can be found at Event Coordinator. I would like to stress that if anyone has ideas for club functions to forward them to him. Additionally, the event coordinator will need a group of individuals to help occasionally with volunteering at the club events. Just volunteer with the event coordinator or respond on the forum. The DYS club elected officers for 2013 include:
    *President: Gene Nelson
    *Veep: James Lutgring
    *Treasurer: Zeke Bossley
    *Secretary: Jim Cox
    *Librarian: Steve Seymour
    *Sgt. at Arms: Sarah Granger
    *Event Coordinator: Chris Richard

ACA is hosting Gulf Brew on October 19, 2013, the same weekend as the Dixie Cup. triple-oh_6 (James) and Brewmeis (Chris) are heading up and organizing the club participation at Gulf Brew. They are looking for homebrew and volunteers to set up the club table and serve beer. Additionally, ACA is going to provide us with several servers. Contact Chris if you are interested in volunteering at the club's table for Gulf Brew. Volunteers receive a free entry into Gulf Brew and I think if you donate beer but can't remember (check with Chris and / or James).
*EDIT BY 0006: Yes, you will receive free entry into the event if you donate beer and/or volunteer to help.

Cajun Brewing has some individual 0.5 and 1 lb sacks of German Hallentau hops to give away. Details can be found on the DYS Forum.

Triple-oh_6 did a presentation on growing hops and drying them. Justin did a presentation on late addition hoping for a Belgian IPA and the recipe can be found on the forum under the members recipes.

Style of the Month
Jimboud present a comparison between 10A. American Pale Ale and 10B. American Amber Ale.
