Keg fittings

Postby aleguy » Wed Jul 09, 2008 12:57 pm

Williams brewing says the posts on pin-lock and ball-lock kegs are not interchangeable. However a seller of a three-gallon pin-lock keg on ebay claims they are. Has anyone tried a swap? will it work? It seems that since one post of the ball -lock kegs is smaller than the other, it would be unlikely.

I think the threads on the post are different, I have a pin lock at home when I get back I can try but pretty sure it will not work.

Thanks, It will be good to know. let me know if you want to unload that pin-lock. Maybe we can work a trade or a deal of some kind. I have a three-gallon ball-lock on the way, and would be very happy to trade it for a three-gallon pin-lock. Or I'll buy a five gallon to trade for a five. IF you want to lose your Firestone.
