Is this the weekend for German Fest we talked about during the sensory analysis testing?

Yes it is. We will be going on Saturday. At 330 is a demo on "Sauerkraut Making."

thanks... hence the brew on Sunday. We have soccer all Sat morning so maybe we will be there in the afternoon also. Depends on what the family wants to do.

I guess Jimmiec won't be doing anything brewing related on Saturday. BTW, making real sauerkraut is easy.

I'm hope for some recipes ideas and processes tricks. Can always learn something from someone. My grandmother got me started last year but I took some tricks from the internet. Made a couple batches last winter that turned out good (without mold) but I used to much garlic. However, it turnout better (flavor and sourness) than the one brand you can buy in Lafayette and definitely better than the one I bought in a New Orleans deli. The pickled green tomatoes I got in New Orleans deli were pretty damn good though.

Home made is nearly always better than the commercial stuff. No matter what you're talking about. Food, beer, you name it.
