|
|
Hey guys,
I will soon have 6 used red hat valves that I purchased from Ebay. I'd like to test them to see which ones work, so I can set aside what I need for my RIMS build. Not knowing very much about these valves myself, I'd like to know, how does one go about testing these buggers?

| Give me a little more information. Part number and a/c d/c is a good start. |

| You could probably just cut an extension cord, tie in the wires with wire nuts and plug it in, you should here a pop, and you could probably see the valve open, just make sure you are safe about it, don't leave any exposed wires. |

| Yep, what 0006 says. You could hook a tube up and blow through it to make sure it actually is functioning. Make sure its a non-conductive tube. |

Ahh, live a little!
Just stick the striped wires into a plug and then blow through it!
Do this while you are in the bath tub so you can blow bubbles through it, just to make sure! ; ) |

I like the 1/4" 8262 valves myself. I got four in a job lot. I never tested mine, but the 2 I gave Redtail have been working fine. (I wouldn't object to buying one off you as a spare if they all work.) _________________ "A foolish constancy is the hobgoblin of little minds." |
