The concept was simple. Any registered homebrew club
in Louisiana was invited to participate as a club. If they
chose to participate, they were allowed to pick a style for the
competition with the limitation that it needed to be an ale.
5 clubs chose to participate. The rules are as follows:

Cost: $7 per entry (Make checks payable to The Dead Yeast Society)
Bottle ID forms must be attached to each bottle with a rubber band.

2 entries per category allowed
1st, 2nd, 3rd place ribbons will be awarded for each category, and for Best of Show
Entry Window: April 19th - May 7th (entries will be stored in refrigerated space upon arrival)

Call for Judges and Stewards:We are requesting judges and stewards from the participating clubs.
All entering brewers are invited to attend the day of the event. Lunch will be provided for Judges and Stewards. Please RSVP if attending the day of the competition, or willing to Judge. Judging is expected to start at Marcello's Wine Market at approximately 10:00 a.m. and is expected to end around 5:30 p.m.
There will be a crawfish boil/social beginning at 6:30 p.m. till at Yeastmeisters house (517 Beverly Drive, Lafayette, LA) for all contest entrants, judges, and stewards. Spouses and guests are welcome to attend the boil as well by paying $7. Please RSVP if attending the crawfish boil/social. There are a number of hotels within a short distance from this location. Awards will be announced at the social. All homebrewers are encouraged to bring some of your homebrew to share with others who are not judges to the social.
