The Gulf Brew event was held on the afternoon of July 14, 2007, to benefit the Acadiana Center for the Arts, in an air conditioned tent on the grounds of the Center for the Arts. The Dead Yeast Society participated in the event, along with several breweries: Saint Arnold Brewing (Houston, TX), Lazy Magnolia Brewing (Kiln, MS), Abita (Abita Springs, LA) and Henier Brau (Covington, LA). Heiner Brau also provided samples of its products contract brewed for Zea's Restaurants.
